I’m currently part of a circle of crafters participating in a Sisterhood of the Traveling Journal—a shared journal that moves from one creative soul to the next, gathering stories, textures, and quiet magic along the way.
This cover marks the beginning of my own journal’s
journey.
As I created the cover, I approached it as a threshold—a
moment of intention before the first story is written. I wanted it to feel
welcoming, grounded, and quietly powerful, setting the tone for all the
creativity that will follow. I used a mix of Stampin’ Up! products
alongside older papers and stamps from my stash, blending the new with
the well-loved to honor both where I am now and the paths that brought me here.
The florals symbolize growth and renewal, while the
butterfly represents transformation and trust in the journey ahead. Small
touches of shimmer catch the light like sparks of possibility—reminders that
this journal is meant to evolve, layer by layer, as it travels from one sister
to the next.
The title, “Sisterhood of the Traveling Journal,”
anchors the cover and serves as a quiet invitation. This project is more than
shared crafting—it’s a sacred exchange. Each person who opens these pages will
add her voice, her creativity, and her intention, carrying the journal forward
and shaping its story.
This is why I craft.
Paper becomes story. Layers become memory. And creativity
becomes a thread that connects us across time and distance.
I’m honored to begin this journal’s path and can’t wait to
see how it transforms as it travels onward.
